BrightMind Student Care is designed for primary school children who need regular after-school care, schoolwork routines and structured developmental support. Our programme combines safe supervision, homework habit-building, meals, rest time and weekly co-enrichment activities across character, STEM, communication and creative arts.

Student Care FAQs

Here are common questions about BrightMind’s Student Care fees, enrolment charges and after-school arrangements. For availability and final registration details, please contact us directly.

1) What are the operating hours?

School term: Mon–Fri 1:00pm–7:00pm. School holidays: Mon–Fri 8:00am–7:00pm. Closed on public holidays.

2) What time do the doors open on school days?

Doors open at 1:00pm on normal school days.

3) Can I pick up after 7:00pm?

Yes, only if you subscribe to the Extended Pick-Up Add-On ($200/month) (subject to capacity), which allows pickup up to 9:00pm.

4) What does the $600 monthly fee include?

The monthly fee includes regular student care, supervised homework routine time, meals as stated by the Centre, daily routines, guided activities and weekly BrightMind Growth Curriculum sessions. It does not include optional enrichment add-ons unless expressly stated.

5) What fees do I pay at enrolment?

Typically: admin fee ($100), deposit (1 month programme fee), first month fee ($600), materials fee ($80/year), and optional uniform ($30) if offered.

6) Do you provide transport?

No. Parents must arrange their own drop-off and pick-up.

7) What is the school bus pick-up point escort?

If offered, staff may escort children from a designated pick-up point to the Centre. This is not transport. Parents must ensure the child reaches the pick-up point at the agreed time.

8) How do late pickup fees work?

There is a 5-minute grace period. After that, late fees are $20 per 15 minutes (or part thereof).
● Standard: charged after 7:00pm
● Extended add-on: charged after 9:00pm

9) What happens if I have 3 late incidents in a calendar month?

You must subscribe to the extended pick-up add-on for the following month, or the Centre may terminate the service and the deposit will be forfeited.

10) Do you help with homework? Is it tuition?

Yes, we provide supervised homework routine time and guide children to organise, attempt and check their schoolwork where appropriate. This is not tuition, and completion depends on the child’s workload, level, time available and cooperation.

11) Does the Centre administer medication or provide special support needs care?

No. We do not administer/handle medication and are not equipped to provide special support needs care.

12) What is the withdrawal policy?

A minimum of one (1) full calendar month written notice is required via the Centre’s withdrawal process/form, effective from the 1st day of the next calendar month after written acknowledgement. Fees remain payable during the notice period (including school holidays) regardless of attendance, and monthly fees are not prorated unless approved in writing by management. The deposit (if applicable) is refundable only after final reconciliation and cannot be used to offset the last month.

13) Can the deposit offset the last month?

No. The deposit cannot be used to offset the last month. It is a security deposit refundable (if applicable) after notice is served and final reconciliation is completed.

14) What optional enrichment can my child join?

Optional add-ons may include LEGO Robotics, eiMath and Vocab King, subject to schedule, level suitability, availability and minimum enrolment.

15) What is Coding & AI and how is it conducted?

Coding & AI is conducted once weekly during the school term as a 8-week programme. Students learn to build and code solutions through structured missions.

16) Is Coding & AI suitable for beginners?

Yes. The programme is designed to accommodate beginners and experienced learners.

17) How is Coding & AI billed?

Coding & AI is billed $500 per 8-week term, payable in advance. Places are limited and subject to minimum enrolment.

18) Is Vocab King compulsory?

No. It is optional.

19) How much is Vocab King and how is it billed?

Vocab King Basic is $280 per annum (12 months), payable in advance.

20) Can the Centre change policies and fees?

The Centre reserves the right to amend policies, fees, terms and conditions from time to time. Updated details will be communicated where applicable. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

21) Is there a school holiday top-up?

Yes. A school holiday top-up of S$10 per day may apply during school holiday periods due to longer care hours and additional programme arrangements.

22) What is the BrightMind Growth Curriculum?

The BrightMind Growth Curriculum is our weekly co-enrichment framework for student care children. It covers four strands: Character Building, STEM / Holistic Learning, Effective Communicators and Creative Arts. The programme is designed to help children build confidence, independence, problem-solving skills, communication ability and responsible character.
