BrightMind Child-Minding is designed for families who need flexible, time-based care support for school-going children. Parents may choose monthly-hour plans or walk-in care, subject to availability, so children can be supervised in a safe, structured and parent-friendly environment when regular student care is not required.

Child-Minding FAQs

Here are common questions about BrightMind’s Child-Minding Membership, including monthly-hour plans, walk-in usage, deposits, overstay charges and billing rules. Child-minding is available to registered members only, and usage is tracked by check-in and check-out time.

1) What ages can join childminding?

K1 to P6.

2) Do I need to be a member to use childminding or walk-in?

Yes. All services are for registered members only. Membership is activated after registration forms are completed and the Registration Fee ($50) + Annual Membership Fee ($100) are paid.

3) Is childminding tuition?

No. No teaching or tuition is provided.

4) What are operating hours?

Mon–Fri: 1:00pm–9:00pm (term), 8:00am–9:00pm (holidays). Closed on public holidays.

5) How do check-in and check-out work?

Parents complete the Centre’s Google Form at check-in and check-out. Those records are used for time tracking and billing.

6) What if I don’t state a pickup time at check-in?

The agreed session end time defaults to 2 hours from check-in.

7) How is time calculated and billed?

Check-in to check-out, billed/deducted in 15-minute blocks, rounded up.

8) What are the plans and fees?

Flex Basic $160 (8h), Flex Plus $300 (20h), Flex Max $600 (up to 70h). Walk-in $30/hr (members only). Registration $50 + Annual $100. Deposit equals 1 month of selected plan (monthly plans only).

9) What happens if I exceed my plan’s included hours?

Any usage beyond included plan hours is billed at $30/hour (15-minute blocks, rounded up), subject to capacity and staffi ng.

10) Do unused hours roll over?

No.

11) How does the billing cycle work? Will hours be prorated if I join mid-month?

All plans run on a calendar month cycle and hours reset on the 1st of every month. We do not prorate hours for mid-month sign-ups, plan changes, or withdrawal. Unused hours do not roll over.

12) Can I freeze membership for travel?

No.

13) What is the withdrawal policy?

1 month written notice; fees remain payable during notice period.

14) How does the deposit work?

Deposit equals 1 month of the selected plan; refundable only upon full compliance after reconciliation of all charges.

15) When do late/overstay fees apply?

Only if pickup is after the agreed session end time. 5-min grace, then $10 per 15 minutes.

16) What if I pick up after 9:00pm?

9:00pm is closing time. We will call parents and emergency contacts and may seek assistance to ensure safety if no authorised adult is reachable.

17) Does the Centre handle medication or special support needs?

No. We do not administer/handle medication and are not equipped to provide special support needs care.

18) Can the Centre change terms and conditions?

Yes. The Centre reserves the right to amend policies, fees, terms and conditions at any time, with or without prior notice. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
